The other evening after a long day at work, I was watching You Tube videos mildly following along, multi tasking on my phone, doing a few chores.

I had walked away from my room to do something, and when I walked back, there was a clip of Louis C.K on the Jimmy Fallon show. 

If you’ve watched Louis C.K , you know he swears a lot but he’s pretty funny. I needed to destress so I started paying attention, laughter is good medicine. He’s telling stories about some of the mistakes he’s made. They are hilarious, I’m cracking up. Then in response to a question about whether he regrets it or if he would do things differently. He dropped this quote

“If you went back and fixed all the mistakes you’ve made, you erase yourself” – Louis C.K.
And wow! Just like that! My mind was totally blown!! Sometimes, out of the blue, you hear something you needed to hear in your life. And I needed to hear this because for a long time now, past mistakes and missteps haunt my days and my nights. This quote was such a revelation on so many levels. I’m still thinking about, digesting it, letting it sink in.

That were it not for the path I had taken, mistakes and all, I would not be me. Wow! Is that a trip or what?
