A maze of instruments

Funny how we grow and change, how the unfamiliar becomes commonplace.

I remember when I first started working in this lab. It felt like a maze and it almost is. One of the largest labs in the country, it is large and ever expanding.

My first few weeks, I kept getting lost and turned around. It was intimidating. Now I navigate this place like a pro despite the fact that new instruments seem to be set up every week in any available space continuosly reconfiguring the maze.

I give it not a second thought as I confidently stride through the maze, avoiding the obstacles, knowing where all the dead ends are, where the openings are.
